Bidirectional Control:
During actuator testing/active testing, OTOFIX D1 Max sends commands to the control unit to control the actuators. Subsequently, the data from the control unit is read, and the operation of the actuators is monitored, such as switching an injector between two operating states to diagnose the integrity of the system or parts. (This option is used to access vehicle-specific subsystem and component tests. Available tests vary depending on the vehicle manufacturer, year, and model.) With this function, specific subsystems and components can be tested. It is also called actuator test or function test. With bidirectional active testing, OTOFIX D1 Max can interactively operate and test actuators such as windshield wipers, door controls, window regulators, air conditioners, engine fans, idle controllers, etc.

Professional Control Unit Coding and Programming:
The professional auto scanner OTOFIX D1 Max supports control unit coding and programming for Audi, VW, BMW, etc. The programming and coding function is used to “reflash” the vehicle control modules, allowing you to update the vehicle’s computer software to the latest version, as well as reprogram adaptive data of certain components after repairs or replacement.
