VAG SFD/SFD2 Unlock for TOPDON – 1-Year License for VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat, Porsche & More
With this SFD2 unlock license, your TOPDON diagnostic tool can perform supported write operations on Volkswagen Group vehicles protected by SFD or SFD2. This enables supported functions such as coding, adaptations and basic settings. The license is valid for 12 months and covers supported vehicles from VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Porsche, Lamborghini and Bentley.

SFD and SFD2 – What Is the Difference?
SFD stands for “Schutz Fahrzeug Diagnose” and refers to Volkswagen Group’s diagnostic protection system. It was introduced on newer vehicle electronics generations from around 2020, including models such as the Golf 8. Control units protected by SFD can generally still be read, but supported write operations are restricted without authorization.
SFD2 is a newer level of diagnostic protection used on current Volkswagen Group vehicles. For workshops, this means that a diagnostic tool supporting only the original SFD system may no longer be sufficient for some of the latest vehicles. This license covers both SFD and SFD2 for supported applications.

Order the License
Order the 1-year SFD/SFD2 license. -

After purchase, we need the email address used to register your diagnostic tool and the device serial number. -
Use the SFD/SFD2 Unlock
Once activated, SFD/SFD2 access will be available for supported vehicles and functions. An internet connection is required.
The license currently works with TOPDON TopScan, UltraDiag and compatible devices from the Phoenix Series. Once assigned, the license is linked to the device and account.
