The Battery Voltage Saver prevents data loss that can occur when disconnecting the battery. The device supplies power to the vehicle via the OBD-II port or the cigarette lighter. To ensure continuous power supply, the device must be connected to a 12V battery. A fuse prevents potential damage to sensitive onboard electronics. Even if the terminals are incorrectly connected to the support battery, your vehicle’s electronics will not be overloaded. Within the voltage saver circuit, the fuse prevents potential damage from misuse. Excessive load (e.g., turning on vehicle lights or activating central locking) may damage the fuse in the cigarette lighter adapter. In such cases, the tip of the adapter must be unscrewed to replace the fuse, after which the tip can be screwed back on.
