Launch X431 V+ Elite – Diagnostic Tablet for Passenger Cars with Coding and J2534
The Launch X431 V+ Elite (also known as the “X431 V Plus Elite”) is Launch’s wireless 10.1-inch diagnostic tablet for passenger cars. It reads and clears fault codes from all accessible control units, performs active tests, adaptations and coding, and offers more than 30 service functions – for European, Asian and American vehicles, from OBD-I to modern vehicles with DoIP and CAN FD.

Practical Example: Replacing a Fuel Injector
After replacing a fuel injector, the engine control unit needs to know the correction code of the new injector. This is how the process works with the V+ Elite:
- Read fault codesPerform a full-system scan and document the fault code for the affected cylinder.
- Check live dataCompare cylinder smooth-running or fuel quantity correction values and confirm the faulty injector.
- Code the injectorAfter replacement, enter the code of the new fuel injector into the control unit using the corresponding service function.
- Final checkClear the fault codes, run the engine and check the correction values again.
