THINKCAR CE EVC 101 – current clamp for EV diagnostics with the CE EVD
The THINKCAR CE EVC 101 is the current measurement module for the THINKTOOL CE EVD diagnostic tablet. It measures DC current, AC current and DC voltage on electric and hybrid vehicles – without breaking the circuit. Open the jaws, place them around the wiring harness, and the reading appears wirelessly on the tablet.

Why clamp measurement makes sense
On electric vehicles, opening a circuit takes time and, on high-voltage systems, extra safety steps. The clamp measures around the conductor without contact: the circuit stays closed and the vehicle can be measured in normal operation. Because the readings go straight into the CE EVD, they sit right next to the vehicle’s diagnostic data and can be analysed together.

Can I use the EVC 101 without the CE EVD?
No. The current clamp is an expansion module and only works together with the THINKTOOL CE EVD or CE EVD Pro.
Do I need to disconnect cables to measure?
No. The clamp is placed around the wiring harness and the circuit stays closed.
Does the clamp also measure AC current?
Yes – AC current as well as DC current and DC voltage.
